SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mildred T. (Shorb) Buss, who passed away on November 20, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Mildred Buss was born on November 26, 1911 in Fairfield; she was a resident of the Joliet area for the last 50 years; and

WHEREAS, Mildred Buss was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson; her parents, Louis and Emma Shorb; and her eight brothers and sisters; and

WHEREAS, Mildred Buss was the beloved mother of Donald (Mazie) Buss, Marilyn (the late David) Klotz, Mildred (Richard) DeLong, Robert (Joanne) Buss, and Paul "Bussey" (Annette) Buss; the dear grandmother of 22 and proud great-grandmother of 50; the great-great-grandmother of eight; and the dear aunt of several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Mildred T. Buss; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mildred Buss as an expression of our sympathy.
