SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are sadden to learn of the death of Louise Bergen, who passed away on December 30, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Louise Bergen was born on October 24, 1921, in Carlinville; her parents were John R. and Bertha Louise Ulmer Dunn; she married the Honorable Francis J. Bergen on January 10, 1953, in Carlinville; and

WHEREAS, Louise Bergen was a homemaker; she was a member of Ss. Simon & Jude Church and the Altar Society; and

WHEREAS, Louise Bergen was preceded in death by her husband and her brother, Robert Dunn; and

WHEREAS, Louise Bergen is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Edward J. and Kathy Bergen, Thomas L. and Sue Bergen, James P. Bergen, and Joseph M. Bergen; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary P. and Randy Stoddard; her grandchildren, Sean Bergen, John Bergen, Jessie Bergen, Tom Stoddard, and Erin Clark; and her sister, Kathleen Mazzoni; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Louise Bergen; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Louise Bergen as an expression of our sympathy.
