SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eric Edward Fatla of Frankfort, who passed away on December 27, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Eric was a graduate of Lincoln-Way East High School in 2003, where he played football; he was a 2007 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University and he was a current law student at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.; and

WHEREAS, He was a fan of the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears; and

WHEREAS, He worked as a staffer for former United States Representative Jerry Weller and once made a trip to Honduras to serve as an election monitor; and

WHEREAS, Eric Fatla was the loving son of Edward and Marcia (Husnik) Fatla; the cherished younger brother of Melissa; the grandson of Casmir and the late Rose (Scalise) Fatla; the grandson of the late Edwin and Aurelia (Matys) Husnik; the nephew of Gregory and Christine (Husnik) Murray; the nephew of John and Linda (Fatla) Fischer; the nephew of Lyle and Beth (Husnik) Dunahoo; and a cousin to the late Jill, Michael, Stephanie and Ethan Fischer and Jessica, Matthew, and Stephen Dunahoo; Eric is also survived by numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Eric Fatla; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eric Fatla as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
