SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Vera C. Pratt of Girard; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Vera Pratt was born on November 15, 1933; she was
5the daughter of Oliver William and Nellie Joy (Taylor)
6Sheppard; she married Bill H. Pratt on January 11, 1952, in
7Yuma, Arizona; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Vera Pratt graduated from Girard High School in
91951; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Vera Pratt was employed for 33 years at the
11Macoupin County Courthouse; she was a member of the Macoupin
12County Board for many years; she also served as a teacher's
13aide at Girard Elementary School for 13 years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Vera Pratt was a member of the Virden Senior
15Citizens and the Girard Senior Citizens; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Vera Pratt was preceded in death by her husband;
17her brother, Gerald Sheppard; and her sisters, Mary Ellen Mason
18and Norma MacKenzie; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Vera is survived by her daughter, Debbie J. (Mike)

1Marsaglia; her grandsons, Rich M. (Bethany) Marsaglia and Eric
2W. (Dawn) Marsaglia; her great-grandchildren, Kade, Rome,
3Charlee, and Brock Marsaglia; her sisters, Jean (Bill) Hatcher
4and Marjorie (Glenn) Howard; and her many nieces and nephews;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8her family and friends, the passing of Vera C. Pratt; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Vera Pratt as an expression of our
12sympathy.
