SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard E. Leck, who passed away on December 31, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Richard Leck was born in Dayton, Kentucky; he received his master's degree from the University of Michigan; and

WHEREAS, Richard Leck was retired from a career in marketing and advertising; he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Richard Leck was an avid jazz enthusiast; and

WHEREAS, Richard Leck is survived by his wife of 33 years, Annette Leck (nee Lezza); his grandchildren, Kristine (Doug) Polio-Rouleau and Jeremy Polio; his great-granddaughter, Alaina; and his step-daughter, Kelley Streeter; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Richard E. Leck; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard E. Leck as an expression of our sympathy.
