SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Bruce Alan Jacobus of Girard, who passed away on February 21, 2009; and

WHEREAS, He was born on July 20, 1961, to Delano and Joyce M. Hunt Jacobus; he graduated from Girard High School in 1980; and

WHEREAS, He worked for Illinois Valley Rehab in Gillespie as an independent contractor since 1983; and

WHEREAS, He enjoyed traveling, reading comic books, and watching television; he also enjoyed fishing and competing in the Special Olympics; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Jacobus is survived by his parents; his brother, Darrell Jacobus; his sister, Delores Bridgett; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Bruce Jacobus; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bruce Jacobus as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
