SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Margaret Elizabeth "Peg" Pratt of Green Valley, who passed away on August 16, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born on July 17, 1924 in Peoria to Oscar and Anna (Steinseifer) Schultz; she married David Lee Pratt on July 12, 1962 in Bloomington; and

WHEREAS, She was a former member of the Blue Eye United Methodist Church in Blue Eye, Missouri; she worked as the assistant activities director for Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria; she later worked for Medical Surgical Supply in Peoria, working with Peoria-area hospitals; and

WHEREAS, She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Limestone Fire Department; she also was a volunteer at Skaggs Hospital in Branson, Missouri; her hobbies included fishing, traveling, doing crafts, cooking, and entertaining; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Peggy Ann Elmore; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Pratt is survived by her husband, David; her daughter, Cheryl Lynn (James) Hayes; and her 2 grandsons, William Hayes and Anthony Hayes; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Margaret Pratt; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Margaret Pratt as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
