SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mrs. Virglee Pruitt of Chicago, who
4passed away on October 15, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 28,
61940 to Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Hilliard; she confessed God at an
7early age in Tulsa; she and her family moved to Chicago when
8she was in high school; and
 
9    WHEREAS, She met and married Air Force veteran James A.
10Pruitt, Sr. on September 20, 1963; she was a devoted wife for
1136 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, She was a member of Saint Anselm Catholic Church,
13where she served on the Hospitality Committee and wherever she
14was needed; and
 
15    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband; her
16parents; her sisters, Ruby, Jaclyn, Jesse, and Edna; her
17brothers, James, Cleo, and R.L.; and niece, Vera; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Virglee Pruitt is survived by her daughter, Lisa
19Pruitt; her son, James (Coretta) Pruitt; her grandchildren,
20Amber, Daniella, Yasmine, Jacob, Chelsea, Erika, Ezra, and

1Evelyn; her brother-in-law, Earl Pruitt, Jr. (Emma Lee); and a
2host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
5her family and friends, the passing of Virglee Pruitt; and be
6it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Virglee Pruitt as a symbol of our
9sincere sympathy.
