SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Barbara A. Kellogg, who passed away on October 3, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born in Alcoa, Tennessee, on April 22, 1945, the youngest daughter of Howell and Lillian Kellogg; she attended school in Alcoa, Joliet, and at Lockport High School; and

WHEREAS, She confessed Christ at an early age and attended Greater Bible Way Apostolic Temple; she enjoyed listening to and singing church music; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Howell and Lillian Kellogg; and her sisters, Mary Helen Gant and Johnnie Pearl Booker; and

WHEREAS, She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted sister, Susie Barber; her aunts, Reba Edwards and Edith Snapp; her special brother-in-law, James Gant, Sr.; her devoted cousin, Bobbie McClendon; her numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, especially her church family and Stryker Avenue family; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Barbara Kellogg; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Barbara A. Kellogg as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
