SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Katherine B. (Barden) Kinney, who passed
4 away on December 23, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Katherine Kinney was a graduate of Providence High
6 School; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Katherine Kinney retired from EJ & E Railroad
8 after 25 years of service in the personnel and police
9 departments; and
 
10     WHEREAS, Katherine Kinney was a life member of the St.
11 Patrick Catholic Church; she was also a member of the St.
12 Patrick's CCW, St. Patrick's 55 Club, the St. Joseph Hospital
13 Auxiliary for 23 years, the National Association of Railway
14 Women, and the Joliet Area Historical Society; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Katherine Kinney was preceded in death by her
16 first husband, Charles J. Meyer; her second husband, Robert F.
17 Kinney; her parents, James Edward and Anastasia (nee Delaney)
18 Barden; her brothers, J. Raymond and J. Richard Barden; and her
19 sisters, Patricia Barden and Mary B. Musolf; and
 
20     WHEREAS, Katherine Kinney is survived by her two sons, John

1 R. (Roberta) Kinney and Will County Chief Judge Gerald R.
2 (Connie) Kinney; her grandchildren, James R. (Jackie), Sarah
3 A., Sean, Christina and Brian Kinney, and Kim Bennett; and her
4 great-grandchildren, Kelsey, and twins Jackson and Bryon
5 Bennett; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8 her family and friends, the passing of Katherine B. Kinney; and
9 be it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the family of Katherine Kinney as an expression of
12 our sympathy.
