SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, During the 96th General Assembly, House Joint
3 Resolution 46 created a task force to study and compile a
4 report on (1) the identification of current student health
5 needs and the level of health services required to address such
6 needs, (2) the regulatory conflicts that limit delivery of
7 school health services to students in need along with possible
8 solutions, and (3) the needed support for and monitoring of
9 school health services; and
 
10     WHEREAS, The task force was to report its findings and
11 recommendations to the General Assembly by January 1, 2010; and
 
12     WHEREAS, The task force needs additional time to complete
13 its work; therefore, be it
 
14     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
15 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
16 CONCURRING HEREIN, that the task force shall submit a report,
17 as required in House Joint Resolution 46 of the 96th General
18 Assembly, no later than March 1, 2011; and be it further
 
19     RESOLVED, That with this reporting extension, the task
20 force shall continue to operate pursuant to House Joint
21 Resolution 46 of the 96th General Assembly; and be it further

1     RESOLVED, That in addition to the members of the task force
2 that were required to be included pursuant to House Joint
3 Resolution 46 of the 96th General Assembly, the task force
4 shall include representatives from the Epilepsy Foundations of
5 Greater Chicago and North/Central Illinois; and be it further
 
6     RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
7 delivered to the State Board of Education, the Department of
8 Human Services School Health Program, and the Department of
9 Public Health Division of Chronic Disease Prevention and
10 Control.
