SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

30 ILCS 605/7d new

Amends the State Property Control Act. Provides that members of the General Assembly are prohibited from using State motor vehicles. Requires reimbursement to the State for mileage in violation. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning vehicle usage.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The State Property Control Act is amended by adding Section 7d as follows:

(30 ILCS 605/7d new)

Sec. 7d. Prohibited use of State vehicles. Members of the General Assembly are prohibited from using State motor vehicles. If a member of the General Assembly violates this Section, then that member shall reimburse the State for mileage in violation at the then current mileage reimbursement rate established by the Legislative Travel Control Board.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
