SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 3105/18 new

Amends the Capital Development Board Act. Requires the Capital Development Board to conduct a study concerning the use of a quantitatively based metric and standard process to assess the quality of the design and construction process used to renovate and construct public buildings. Provides that the Board shall report its recommendations and findings to the General Assembly as soon as possible.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Capital Development Board Act is amended by adding Section 18 as follows:

(20 ILCS 3105/18 new)

Sec. 18. Quantitatively based metric and standard process. To conduct a study concerning the use of a quantitatively based metric and standard process to assess the quality of the design and construction process used to renovate and construct public buildings. The Board shall report its recommendations and findings to the General Assembly as soon as possible.
