1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate David A. Shepherd,
4 Captain with the McHenry County Sheriff's Office, on his
5 retirement; and

6     WHEREAS, Captain Shepherd has served the people of McHenry
7 County for thirty years and will retire on April 23, 2010; and

8     WHEREAS, He started his career with the McHenry County
9 Sheriff's Office on March 10, 1980; he was promoted to Sergeant
10 on March 3, 1988; and

11     WHEREAS, On April 15, 1991 he was promoted to Lieutenant;
12 on July 10, 1994 he became Deputy Chief of Support Services and
13 received the rank of Captain on September 29, 1996; therefore,
14 be it

15     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
17 congratulate Captain David A. Shepherd on his retirement and
18 wish him the best in his future endeavors; and be it further

19     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20 presented to Captain David A. Shepherd as a symbol of our
