1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Donald Gene
4 Monahan on his retirement from the Orland Park Police
5 Department; and

6     WHEREAS, Gene was born to Donald Francis and Margaret Mary
7 Monahan; he and his wife, Denise, are the devoted parents of
8 Ryan, Kelly, Trisha, and Mary Kate; and

9     WHEREAS, Gene began his law enforcement career at the
10 Midlothian Police Department in 1979; he joined the Orland Park
11 Police Department in 1986, eventually becoming Commander of
12 Administrative and Technical Services; and

13     WHEREAS, Gene is admired by his fellow officers and is a
14 legend who will never be forgotten; therefore, be it

15     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
17 congratulate Donald Gene Monahan on his retirement; and be it
18 further

19     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20 presented to Gene Monahan.
