HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the owners and employees of OTTO Engineering in Carpentersville for winning the "Good Neighbor" Business of the Year award; and

WHEREAS, The "Good Neighbor" Business of the Year award is given by Illinois State Representative Keith Farnham's Economic Advisory Committee to businesses that display a dedication to improving the communities in which they do business; and

WHEREAS, OTTO Engineering has been in business since 1961; the company is recognized by its peers worldwide for superior performance and innovative products; and

WHEREAS, OTTO Engineering designs and manufactures a full line of products specifically for demanding applications; the company markets its products through two divisions, OTTO Controls and OTTO Communications; and

WHEREAS, OTTO Controls designs and manufactures precision switches and control grips, including mechanical switches with up to a 1 million cycle life, Hall Effect switches with digital and analog output options, sealed and lighted, high performance, snap action, rocker, pushbutton, toggle and rotary switches, commercial and military control grips, and Hall Effect technology joysticks; and

WHEREAS, OTTO Communications specializes in accessories for the two-way radio market, including surveillance kits, wireless accessories, lightweight and heavy-duty headsets, speaker microphones, and tactical, fire, and HAZMAT communications equipment; and

WHEREAS, OTTO accessories are designed for use by public safety, security, surveillance, emergency medical teams, SWAT, fire fighters, HAZMAT teams, and other law enforcement professionals, as well as food service, hospitality, entertainment, construction, and industrial markets; and

WHEREAS, OTTO Engineering has worked to improve the Carpentersville community by renovating abandoned homes in the village and renting them at affordable prices; and

WHEREAS, the owners and employees of OTTO Engineering serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the owners and employees of OTTO Engineering for winning the "Good Neighbor" Business of the Year award and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the owners of OTTO Engineering as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
