HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Yolanda A. Pellegrino on the occasion of her 90th birthday on November 8, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Yolanda Pellegrino was born on November 8, 1919 in Chicago; her parents are Aquila Cinelli Covelli and Serafino Covelli, both of whom immigrated to Chicago from Marano Principato, Cosenza, Calabria, Italy in 1911; and

WHEREAS, Yolanda Pellegrino met her future husband, Paul Pellegrino, in the Taylor Street neighborhood where they both lived; the couple were married in 1938 and had 4 beautiful children, Nancy Mary Casazza, Steven Paul Pellegrino, Robert Pellegrino, and Richard Frank Pellegrino; she also has 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Yolanda Pellegrino has spent her entire life serving others and has touched the lives of every person that she has ever met; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Yolanda A. Pellegrino on the occasion of her 90th birthday and wish her many happy and healthy years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Yolanda Pellegrino as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
