HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Reverend Leonard Barr; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Leonard Barr served the congregation of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago for many years, selflessly devoting his time and energy to the church's many ministries; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Leonard Barr was the host of the television talk show "Report to the People" on Cable Channel 25 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Leonard Barr was well known throughout his community as a man whose great empathy for those in need and willingness to help all who needed assistance endeared him to everyone he met; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Rev. Leonard Barr; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rev. Leonard Barr as an expression of our sympathy.
