1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Joe Lapinski of
4 Herrin as he retires after as the Public Works Director for the
5 city of Herrin; and

6     WHEREAS, He began working as a trash collector for the city
7 in 1974 and worked his way up to doing street maintenance; and

8     WHEREAS, He was appointed the Public Works Director in 1992
9 by Mayor Edward Quaglia; and

10     WHEREAS, His biggest challenges have been working with new
11 technology over the years, including the computerization of
12 records and other data; and

13     WHEREAS, He will be honored with a reception on August 1,
14 2009; therefore, be it

15     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
17 congratulate Joe Lapinski and wish him the best in all his
18 future endeavors; and be it further

19     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

2 and esteem.
