1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the pastor and
4 congregation of Grace Missionary Church in Zion on the 100th
5 anniversary of the church; and

6     WHEREAS, The church held an anniversary celebration on the
7 weekend of June 13-14, 2009 with a Centennial Banquet focusing
8 on the Missions ministries; displays, reports, and appearance
9 by former and current missionaries were available for the
10 attendees; and

11     WHEREAS, Guests included Roger Skinner, missionary
12 statesman, and former pastors Robert Zimmer and Leland Skinner;
13 therefore, be it

14     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16 congratulate the pastor and congregation of Grace Missionary
17 Church in Zion and wish them continued blessings for years to
18 come; and be it further

19     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20 presented to Pastor Doug Carlson as a symbol of our respect and
21 esteem.
