HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Florence A. Dittle on her retirement as Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services for Joliet Township High School District 204 after many years of service; and

WHEREAS, She received her Teaching Certification and Bachelor of Arts degree from North Central College in Naperville; her Master of Science degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb; and an Educational Administration Certificate from Illinois State University in Normal; and

WHEREAS, She began her teaching career in 1974, teaching American history and government at Lockport High School in Lockport; she went on to become a social studies teacher at Homer High School in Homer for several years, guidance counselor at Stagg High School in Palos Hills, guidance counselor and Associate Principal at Andrew High School in Tinley Park, and the Facilitator of Instruction in Consolidated High School District 230 in Orland Park, covering a total of 27 years; and

WHEREAS, She began her current position as Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services for Joliet Township High School District 204 in 2002 and will retire on June 30, 2009; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Florence Dittle on her retirement and for her dedication to the education of young people in the State of Illinois; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Florence Dittle as a symbol of our respect.
