1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Aiyang Jiang on the
4 occasion of winning the Siemens Award for Advanced Placement;
5 and

6     WHEREAS, The Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement are
7 awarded each year to students with the greatest number of
8 scores of 5 on eight AP math and science exams, as well as to
9 teachers and schools based on student participation and
10 performance in Advanced Placement math, science, and
11 technology courses; and

12     WHEREAS, The exams that students are tested on are on
13 Biology, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Computer Science AB,
14 Environmental Science, Physics C: Mechanics, Physics C:
15 Electricity and Magnetism, and Statistics, with qualifying
16 students earning a score of 5 on two of the exams; and

17     WHEREAS, Aiyang Jiang serves as a model of hard work,
18 integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of
19 Illinois; therefore, be it

20     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
21 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

1 congratulate Aiyang Jiang on the occasion of winning the
2 Siemens Award for Advanced Placement; and be it further

3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to Aiyang Jiang as a symbol of our esteem and
5 respect.
