HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Mary Kaminski on the occasion of her 100th birthday on April 4, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Mary Kaminski was born Mary Mankiewicz in the central Poland town of Gostynin on April 4, 1909; she was the second of nine children born to Anthony and Antonia Mankiewicz; she came to the United States in 1925 when she was 16 years old; she eventually settled in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Mary Kaminski married Stanley Kaminski in September of 1940; the couple eventually lived in Palatine; and

WHEREAS, Mary Kaminski worked at a Motorola plant on the assembly line for nearly 20 years; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mary Kaminski on the occasion of her 100th birthday and wish her many more happy years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mary Kaminski as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
