HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the players and coaches of the Driscoll Catholic High School girls basketball team on the occasion of winning the Class 2A State championship; and

WHEREAS, The Driscoll Catholic High School girls basketball team beat West Hancock 40-35 at Illinois State's Redbird Arena in Normal to win the Class 2A State championship on February 28, 2009, becoming the first girls team in Driscoll school history to win a title; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Driscoll Catholic High School girls basketball team are Allie DiVito, Taylor Reaber, Kasey Reaber, Katelyn Conenna, Gina Maritote, Tarah McShane, Breaunna Medinger, Maggie Osial, Gigi DiGrazia, Lauren Schwabe, Courtney Lindfors, Shaquira Scott, Janet Jozwiak, and Shaquina Scott; the team's head coach is Steve McCuiston and the assistant coaches are Tony DiGrazia, Mike Batka, and Frank Reaber; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Driscoll Catholic High School girls basketball team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the players and coaches of the Driscoll Catholic High School girls basketball team on the occasion of winning the Class 2A State championship and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Driscoll Catholic High School girls basketball team head coach Steve McCuiston as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
