HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor Timothy Andrew Evans for his service as a member of the United States Marine Corps; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Evans was born on June 1, 1988, to Thomas A. Evans and Rita L. Evans; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Evans graduated from Saint Catherine of Alexandria School in 2002; he subsequently graduated from Brother Rice High School in 2006; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Evans joined the United States Marine Corps in November of 2008; he was subsequently deployed to Afghanistan in May of 2009; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Evans was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds he received in action in Afghanistan on August 15, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Evans' family, which includes his parents, his siblings, Matthew and Maribeth, and grandparents, Henry and Margaret Evans and John and Theresa Spatz, are all undoubtedly proud of him and his service to our nation; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Evans serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Timothy Andrew Evans for his service and wish him success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Timothy Evans as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
