1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Marcus Jones for
4 his 4th place finish in the 400-meter dash event at the 2009
5 Illinois High School Association State Track & Field Meet; and

6     WHEREAS, Marcus Jones is a senior at Oswego East High
7 School; he currently holds the record at his school for the
8 400-meter dash; and

9     WHEREAS, Marcus Jones is a 3-year varsity letter winner in
10 track and a varsity letter winner in 3 sports; he was
11 designated All-conference in track in 2009 and has been
12 designated All-State; and

13     WHEREAS, Marcus Jones serves as a model of hard work,
14 integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of
15 Illinois; therefore, be it

16     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
18 congratulate Marcus Jones for his impressive performance and
19 wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be
20 it further

1     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Marcus Jones as a symbol of our esteem and
3 respect.
