HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Stanley L. Hill on
4his swearing-in as Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Stanley Hill is currently an attorney at the law
7offices of Stanley L. Hill and Associates, P.C. in Chicago; and
 
8    WHEREAS, He has been a trial attorney for 36 years; he
9serves as General Counsel for the Harvey Park District, Special
10Counsel to the Village of Dixmoor, Special Counsel to the Mayor
11of North Chicago, Special Counsel to Calumet City, Special
12Counsel to the City of Harvey, and many others; and
 
13    WHEREAS, He received his Bachelor of Science degree in
14Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern
15University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of
16Michigan Law School; and
 
17    WHEREAS, He is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the
18Illinois State Bar Association, the National Bar Association,
19the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and
20the Cook County Bar Association; and

1    WHEREAS, His awards include: the Martindale Hubbell AV
2Rated Peer Review Award for Ten Years in 2010, the Cook County
3Bar Association William R. Ming, Jr. Civil Rights Award in 1981
4and 1995, the NBC-WMAQ TV Black History Month Honoree in 1995,
5and he was named a Wendell Phillips High School Hall of Fame
6inductee in 1986; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
9congratulate Stanley Hill on his swearing-in as Judge of the
10Circuit Court of Cook County and wish him continued success in
11the future; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to Judge Stanley Hill as a symbol of our respect and
14esteem.
