HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Stanley L. Hill on his swearing-in as Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Hill is currently an attorney at the law offices of Stanley L. Hill and Associates, P.C. in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, He has been a trial attorney for 36 years; he serves as General Counsel for the Harvey Park District, Special Counsel to the Village of Dixmoor, Special Counsel to the Mayor of North Chicago, Special Counsel to Calumet City, Special Counsel to the City of Harvey, and many others; and

WHEREAS, He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School; and

WHEREAS, He is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Cook County Bar Association; and

WHEREAS, His awards include: the Martindale Hubbell AV Rated Peer Review Award for Ten Years in 2010, the Cook County Bar Association William R. Ming, Jr. Civil Rights Award in 1981 and 1995, the NBC-WMAQ TV Black History Month Honoree in 1995, and he was named a Wendell Phillips High School Hall of Fame inductee in 1986; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Stanley Hill on his swearing-in as Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County and wish him continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Judge Stanley Hill as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
