HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Renee Bradford, President and Chief Executive Officer of C'est Si Bon! Ltd. of Chicago, on twenty years of successful business; and

WHEREAS, She is a Chicago native and lifelong Bronzeville neighborhood resident; she left a very successful career in corporate America to start her own business in December of 1990; with an MBA from Columbia University in New York and a love for cooking, she opened C'est Si Bon!, a catering and tailor-made gift basket business in the Hyde Park neighborhood; and

WHEREAS, C'est Si Bon! is located at 643 East 47th Street; combining Cajun and American foods, Renee's Southern Comfort Chicken, Collard Greens in a Tomato Cup, and Sweet Potato Cheesecake are specialities of the restaurant; and

WHEREAS, The world was introduced to C'est Si Bon! Ltd during the Taste of Chicago, where Renee created a unique Collard Green Egg Roll, Sweet Potato Biscuit, and Cajun Meatball; and

WHEREAS, The catering side of the business holds a number of daily events ranging from box lunches, private home dinners, and corporate luncheons in the Loop to a tented sit-down meal for hundreds; and

WHEREAS, The English translation of the French "C'est Si Bon" is "It's So Good"; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Renee Bradford on 20 years of successful business and wish her continued success for years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Renee Bradford as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
