HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Roger Hunt on his
4retirement as President of Advocate BroMenn Medical Center and
5Advocate Eureka Hospital on October 14, 2010; and
 
6    WHEREAS, In addition, he served as Principal for Hunt
7Healthcare from 1999 to 2001; he served as President and C.E.O.
8of ViaHealth from 1996 to 1999, Senior Vice President of
9Northwestern Healthcare from 1993 to 1996, and President and
10C.E.O. of Fontbonne Health System from 1990 to 1992; and
 
11    WHEREAS, He also served as President and C.E.O. of Lutheran
12General Hospital from 1984 to 1990, Director of Hospitals for
13Indiana University Hospitals from 1977 to 1984, Associate Vice
14President and Hospital Administrator for Hahnemann University
15Hospital from 1968 to 1977, and Administrative
16Resident/Administrative Assistant at Lankenau Hospital from
171966 to 1968; and
 
18    WHEREAS, He received his Master's degree in Business
19Administration from The George Washington University and his
20Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from DePauw University;

1    WHEREAS, Roger Hunt has served his community as a member of
2the board of directors of both the McLean County Chamber of
3Commerce and the Illinois Symphony Orchestra; and
 
4    WHEREAS, He has served as a mentor and advisor to aspiring
5health care and community leaders through his association with
6the American College of Healthcare Executives and Leadership
7McLean County; he led the BroMenn Healthcare organization into
8its merger with the Advocate Health Care system; and he has
9shared his knowledge and expertise with the healthcare industry
10by serving on various national and State committees and
11commissions, including the Policy Council of the Illinois
12Hospital Association; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
15congratulate Roger Hunt on his retirement and wish him
16continued success in all his future endeavors; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to Roger Hunt as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
