1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ronald Starman,
4 Jeff Johnson, and Merlyn Winchell for being the recipients of
5 the Lifesaver Award from the Missouri Department of
6 Corrections; and

7     WHEREAS, The Lifesaver Award is given by the Missouri
8 Department of Corrections to staff members that intervene in
9 serious situations in order to save a person's life; and

10     WHEREAS, Ronald Starman, Jeff Johnson, and Merlyn Winchell
11 were designated to receive this prestigious award for their
12 diligence and superb conduct in responding to life-threatening
13 situations involving offenders at the Northeast Correctional
14 Center in Bowling Green, Missouri; and

15     WHEREAS, Ronald Starman, Jeff Johnson, and Merlyn Winchell
16 serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the
17 people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

18     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20 congratulate Ronald Starman, Jeff Johnson, and Merlyn Winchell
21 for receiving this prestigious award and wish them continued

1 success and happiness in the future; and be it further

2     RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
3 presented to Ronald Starman, Jeff Johnson, and Merlyn Winchell
4 as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
