HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Greenville Junior High School Bluejays baseball team on finishing second in the State championship; and

WHEREAS, The team finished second in the State with a 19-11 ninth inning loss to Shorewood Troy, in the championship game held October 2, 2010, in East Peoria; and

WHEREAS, The game lasted nearly four hours and was the second game of the day for both teams; the Bluejays fought their way back from an earlier deficit, but a huge eight-run scoring streak in the top of the ninth inning for Shorewood Troy was the difference; and

WHEREAS, At the Bond County courthouse square on Sunday, October 3, 2010, fans gathered to welcome and congratulate the Bluejays on their great win and placing second at State; the parade then went on to the Greenville Junior High School; and

WHEREAS, The Greenville Junior High gymnasium was crowded with well-wishers and fans; Principal Gary Brauns led the ceremony with touching and tearful high points; and

WHEREAS, Bluejays Coach Stoecklin praised the boys and his volunteer coaching staff for an unforgettable season; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Greenville Bluejays are: Jeremiah Brannon, Tim Chilovich, Kyle Dugan, Craig Faulkner, Brady Fletcher, Jacob Hall, Cable Hogue, Dillon Hallemann, Tyler Hutchison, Matthew James, Dylan Knebel, Chantz Kunkel, Grant Mitchell, Kaeden Mollett, Josh Pierce, Colton Rainey, Brad Riedemann, Kohldin Sadowski, Will Schaufelberger, Alex Schneider, and Michael Wernle; the coaches are: Trevor Stoecklin, Brock Friese, Scott Esker, and Jason Pierce; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Greenville Junior High Bluejays on an incredible season and for placing second in the State; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Coach Stoecklin and the Greenville Junior High School Bluejays as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
