HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Daniel James Albright on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Albright graduated from Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein in May of 2010; he is a member of the Thespian Honor Society, the National Honor Society, and the Drama Club; he also served as the Construction Chief and Assistant Stage Manager for the drama department and as Sound Chief for Carmel's school events; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Albright plans to attend the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, where he will major in Theatrical Design and Production with a focus in Technical Direction; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Albright has been involved in scouting since becoming a Tiger Cub and has continued to be involved until the present day; he received the Arrow of Light award as a Webelos Scout and is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow; he has been to all 3 high adventure locations, which earned him the Triple Crown Award, and was a trek leader at Philmont and Boundary Waters; he also served on Camp Staff at Boy Scout Camp MaKaJaWan for 2 summers; he has earned a total of 26 merit badges throughout his Scouting career; and

WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Daniel Albright led a group of Boy Scouts in the design and installation of a dog agility course for the Save-a-Pet animal shelter; the agility course includes a teeter-totter, an A-frame, a large ramp system, and a pole-weave for the Save-a-Pet dogs to use; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Albright has served in many positions of responsibility within the Boy Scouts, including patrol leader, assistant patrol leader, and quartermaster, where he has served for roughly 5 years; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Albright was recognized at a Court of Honor on August 10, 2010 for his work in Scouting and his contributions to his community; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Albright's family, friends, and fellow Scouts, along with the members of this body, are proud of his hard work and dedication in gaining this prestigious rank; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Daniel James Albright on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Daniel Albright as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
