HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dove Triche of Chicago, who passed away on June 10, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Dove Triche was born on July 4, 1921 in Greenville, Mississippi; she married Walter Triche, Sr. on January 30, 1941; and

WHEREAS, She moved to Chicago at an early age with her five siblings, who preceded her in death; she was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald S. Triche, Sr.; and

WHEREAS, She was a phenomenal mother, who never seemed to tire of enriching her children's lives and encouraging them to accomplish their goals; and

WHEREAS, She served her community for 33 years as an energetic worker in the 8th Ward Regular Democratic Organization; and

WHEREAS, She was a faithful member of the Power Circle Congregation, joining in 1977; she enjoyed shopping, square dancing, and visiting with her children and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Dove Triche will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her children, Walter James (Patricia) Triche, Jr., Maurice Curtis (Shirley) Triche, Sandra Yvonne (John) Cooke, Jacqueline Diane (David) Atkins, Carmen Kimberly (Marlow) Colvin, and Shana Yvonne Triche; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Dove Triche; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dove Triche as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
