HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dove
4 Triche of Chicago, who passed away on June 10, 2010; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Dove Triche was born on July 4, 1921 in
6 Greenville, Mississippi; she married Walter Triche, Sr. on
7 January 30, 1941; and
 
8     WHEREAS, She moved to Chicago at an early age with her five
9 siblings, who preceded her in death; she was also preceded in
10 death by her son, Ronald S. Triche, Sr.; and
 
11     WHEREAS, She was a phenomenal mother, who never seemed to
12 tire of enriching her children's lives and encouraging them to
13 accomplish their goals; and
 
14     WHEREAS, She served her community for 33 years as an
15 energetic worker in the 8th Ward Regular Democratic
16 Organization; and
 
17     WHEREAS, She was a faithful member of the Power Circle
18 Congregation, joining in 1977; she enjoyed shopping, square
19 dancing, and visiting with her children and grandchildren; and

1     WHEREAS, The passing of Dove Triche will be deeply felt by
2 all who knew and loved her, especially her children, Walter
3 James (Patricia) Triche, Jr., Maurice Curtis (Shirley) Triche,
4 Sandra Yvonne (John) Cooke, Jacqueline Diane (David) Atkins,
5 Carmen Kimberly (Marlow) Colvin, and Shana Yvonne Triche; her
6 grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,
7 nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
 
8     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
10 mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Dove
11 Triche; and be it further
 
12     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to the family of Dove Triche as a symbol of our
14 sincere sympathy.
