HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Terri Bryant on the occasion of being appointed to the position of Women's Coalitions Coordinator for the Illinois Republican Coalition Leadership Team; and

WHEREAS, Terri Bryant was appointed to the Board of Governors for the Illinois Lincoln Excellence in Public Service Series in 2010; as a member of the Board of Governors, she has been responsible for recruiting and fundraising in the lower third of the state; she is also a 2009 Illinois Lincoln Excellence in Public Service Series Fellow; and

WHEREAS, Terri Bryant is a member of the Illinois Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women; she serves as Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Jackson County Republican Central Committee; she is a member and chaplain of the Jackson County Republican Women's Club, a member of the Jackson County Republican Boosters Club, and a Precinct Committeeman; she served as a delegate to the 2008 Illinois State Republican Convention and a member of the committee to appoint presidential electors; she was appointed to serve as a John McCain Presidential Elector; she is also a candidate for the Jackson County Board; and

WHEREAS, Terri Bryant and her husband, Rick, reside in Murphysboro; the couple has 2 children; and

WHEREAS, Terri Bryant serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Terri Bryant on the occasion of being appointed to her new position and wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Terri Bryant as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
