HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Marge Campbell on the occasion of her retirement from St. Cornelius School in Chicago after 43 years of dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, Marge Campbell began her career at St. Cornelius School in 1967 as a 1st grade teacher; for the next several years, she taught a variety of grades, including 2nd and 4th grade classes as well as 3rd and 7th grade religious education classes; she opened the first kindergarten class at St. Cornelius in September of 1975 and continued teaching until 1981, when she became principal of St. Cornelius School; and

WHEREAS, Marge Campbell regularly attends football games at the University of Notre Dame; she also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling with her husband of 43 years, Tom, her sister, Barbara, and her brother, Fr. Dick Feller; and

WHEREAS, Marge Campbell is well regarded by her peers as a dedicated and family-oriented woman who has touched the lives of the many faculty members, staff members, children, and parents with whom she has come into contact; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Marge Campbell on the occasion of her retirement and wish her many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Marge Campbell as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
