HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth P. Kedzior of rural Smithfield, who passed away on April 14, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kedzior has a long and distinguished career with the Illinois State Police; he began his career with ISP on February 18, 1985 as a cadet; on June 7, 1985, he became a full-time trooper in District 14; on September 25, 1998, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant; on July 1, 2002, he was promoted to the rank of master sergeant, where he remained until his passing; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kedzior was well known for his devotion to conservation efforts, including the planting of trees and prairie grass in District 14 and the planting of prairie grass at Dickson Mounds; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kedzior is survived by his loving wife, Dawn; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kedzior will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a man whose dedication to the protection of the citizens of Illinois and the environment was unmatched; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Kenneth P. Kedzior; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Kedzior as an expression of our sympathy.
