HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Kevin Heine on the occasion of his retirement as Chief of the Bartlett Fire Protection District after 30 years of dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Heine was born and raised in Bartlett; after moving away from Bartlett for a time, he returned there in 1995; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Heine has had a long and distinguished career with the Bartlett Fire Protection District; he began his career as a cadet in 1974; he became a part-time firefighter in 1976; and

WHEREAS, In 1980, Kevin Heine became a full-time firefighter with the Bartlett Fire Protection District; in 1993, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant; in 1996, he was promoted to the rank of Captain; in 2002, he was promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief; and in 2006, he was promoted to the rank of Chief, where he remained until his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Heine coached Little League baseball from 1998 to 2002 and Bartlett Raiders Football from 2000 to 2006; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Heine is a member of the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association and the International Fire Chiefs Association; he is also active with the South Elgin Booster Club; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Heine enjoys golfing and traveling; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Heine serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Kevin Heine on the occasion of his retirement and wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Kevin Heine as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
