HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Illinois House of Representatives seeks to acknowledge the achievements of the State's institutions of higher learning and highlight national recognition bestowed upon them; and

WHEREAS, Bradley University in Peoria has been named as one of the nation's best institutions for undergraduate education in the 2010 edition of The Princeton Review's "Best 371 Colleges"; and

WHEREAS, The rankings are based on 122,000 surveys from students at the 371 schools, how the students rated their campus experiences, and institutional data on issues important to applicants; and

WHEREAS, Each school is ranked in eight categories, including admissions selectivity, quality of life, financial aid, and environmental policies and practices; and

WHEREAS, Just 15 percent of the nation's 2,500 four-year colleges made it into the guide; and

WHEREAS, The Princeton Review commends Bradley for its friendly students, athletic facilities, small-school atmosphere, and devoted professors; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize and congratulate Bradley University for receiving the distinguished honor of being named one of The Princeton Review's Best 371 Colleges for 2010; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to President Joanne K. Glasser and the Bradley University Board of Trustees as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
