SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 1605/23 new

Amends the Illinois Lottery Law. Provides that the Division of the State Lottery of the Department of Revenue shall establish a one-year pilot program to place authorized lottery ticket dispensing machines in all rest areas in the State. Allows the Division to adopt any rules necessary for the administration of this pilot program. Effective immediately.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Lottery Law is amended by adding Section 23 as follows:

(20 ILCS 1605/23 new)

Sec. 23. Rest area pilot program. The Division shall establish a one-year pilot program to place authorized lottery ticket dispensing machines in all rest areas in the State. The Division shall adopt any rules necessary for the administration of this pilot program.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
