SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

735 ILCS 30/25-5-25 new

Amends the Eminent Domain Act. Provides that quick-take proceedings may be used for a period of 5 years after January 1, 2009 by the City of Country Club Hills for the acquisition of land in the I-57/I-80 Tax Increment Financing District for the purpose of building streets, roadways, or other public infrastructure. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning civil law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended by adding Section 25-5-25 as follows:

(735 ILCS 30/25-5-25 new)

Sec. 25-5-25. Quick-take; City of Country Club Hills. Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used for a period of 5 years after January 1, 2009 by the City of Country Club Hills for the acquisition of land in the I-57/I-80 Tax Increment Financing District for the purpose of building streets, roadways, or other public infrastructure.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
