SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

25 ILCS 170/3.5 new

Amends the Lobbyist Registration Act. Prohibits the Cook County Assessor and Commissioners of the Cook County Board of Review from registering under the Act, being registered under the Act, or engaging in activities that require a person to register under the Act. Effective immediately.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Lobbyist Registration Act is amended by adding Section 3.5 as follows:

(25 ILCS 170/3.5 new)

Sec. 3.5. Cook County Assessor and Board of Review Commissioners. Any person serving as the Cook County Assessor or as a Commissioner of the Cook County Board of Review is prohibited from registering under this Act, being registered under this Act, or engaging in activities requiring the person to register under this Act.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
