Amends the University of Illinois Act, the Southern Illinois University Management Act, the Chicago State University Law, the Eastern Illinois University Law, the Governors State University Law, the Illinois State University Law, the Northeastern Illinois University Law, the Northern Illinois University Law, and the Western Illinois University Law. Authorizes the governing board of each university to transfer money in the fund it has for auxiliary services to its fund for educational or other purposes. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by adding Section 90 as follows:

(110 ILCS 305/90 new)

Sec. 90. Interfund transfers authorized. The Board of Trustees is authorized to transfer money in the fund it has for auxiliary services to its fund for educational or other purposes.

Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management Act is amended by adding Section 70 as follows:

(110 ILCS 520/70 new)

Sec. 70. Interfund transfers authorized. The Board is authorized to transfer money in the fund it has for auxiliary services to its fund for educational or other purposes.

Section 15. The Chicago State University Law is amended by adding Section 5-180 as follows:

Sec. 5-180. Interfund transfers authorized. The Board is authorized to transfer money in the fund it has for auxiliary services to its fund for educational or other purposes.

Section 20. The Eastern Illinois University Law is amended by adding Section 10-180 as follows:

Sec. 10-180. Interfund transfers authorized. The Board is authorized to transfer money in the fund it has for auxiliary services to its fund for educational or other purposes.

Section 25. The Governors State University Law is amended by adding Section 15-180 as follows:

Sec. 15-180. Interfund transfers authorized. The Board is authorized to transfer money in the fund it has for auxiliary services to its fund for educational or other purposes.

Section 30. The Illinois State University Law is amended by adding Section 20-185 as follows:

Section 35. The Northeastern Illinois University Law is amended by adding Section 25-180 as follows:

Section 40. The Northern Illinois University Law is amended by adding Section 30-190 as follows:

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
