SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

70 ILCS 925/17 new

Amends the Illinois Medical District at Springfield Act. Provides for a continuing appropriation of $300,000 from GRF to the District in each of fiscal years 2011 through 2020. Effective July 1, 2010.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT making continuing appropriations.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Medical District at Springfield Act is amended by adding Section 17 as follows:

(70 ILCS 925/17 new)

Sec. 17. Continuing appropriations; FY11 through FY20. The amount of $300,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Medical District at Springfield for its ordinary and contingent expenses in each of the following State fiscal years: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. The aggregate amount appropriated over those fiscal years under this Section is $3,000,000. This Section constitutes (i) an irrevocable and continuing appropriation of those amounts and (ii) the irrevocable and continuing authority and direction to the State Treasurer and the Comptroller to make the required transfers out of and disbursements from the revenues and funds of the State.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2010.
