1     AN ACT concerning veterans.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Service Member's Employment Tenure Act is
5 amended by adding Section 8 as follows:

6     (330 ILCS 60/8 new)
7     Sec. 8. Attorney General; hotline; employer list.
8     (a) The Attorney General shall establish and maintain a
9 statewide toll-free hotline to provide information and
10 referrals to employees or other individuals concerning their
11 rights under this Act. The hotline shall include the capability
12 of accepting complaints of an employer's violation of this Act.
13     (b) The Attorney General shall establish and maintain a
14 statewide list of employers who have been convicted of
15 violating this Act. The Attorney General shall make the
16 information in the list available to the public on its official
17 web site and by any other means the Attorney General deems
18 appropriate.

19     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
20 becoming law.
