SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

705 ILCS 405/2-10.1

from Ch. 37, par. 802-10.1

Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning case plans for alleged abused, neglected, or dependent minors placed in shelter care.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning courts.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Juvenile Court Act of 1987 is amended by changing Section 2-10.1 as follows:

(705 ILCS 405/2-10.1) (from Ch. 37, par. 802-10.1)

Sec. 2-10.1. Whenever a minor is placed in shelter care with the the Department or a licensed child welfare agency in accordance with Section 2-10, the Department or agency, as appropriate, shall prepare and file with the court within 45 days of placement under Section 2-10 a case plan which complies with the federal Adoption Assistance and Child Welfare Act of 1980 and is consistent with the health, safety and best interests of the minor.

For the purposes of this Act, "case plan" and "service plan" shall have the same meaning.
