SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Craig of West Peoria, who passed away on January 4, 2009; and

WHEREAS, He was born May 5, 1945, in Peoria, to Floyd and Pauline (Andrews) Craig; he married Barbara Behrens on July 24, 1965; and

WHEREAS, Bob was the senior director of development for Community Workshop & Training Center, and previously was a manager and area supervisor at McDonald's for more than 20 years; and

WHEREAS, He was a board member of Share Food, chairman of the board for Harvest Food, a Peoria Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, and member of Knights of Columbus and West Peoria Neighborhood Watch; and he belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by three brothers; and

WHEREAS, Robert Craig is survived by his wife, Barbara; his sons, Joe (Teresa) Craig and John (Gail) Craig; his daughter, Jody (Jim) Nieukirk; his sister, Dorothy (John) Hanson; his brothers, Ronald (June) Craig and John (Terri) Fisher; and his eight grandchildren; he lived for his grandkids, and will be sadly missed by his dog, Magnum; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Robert Craig; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Craig as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
