SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ann Hanus, who passed away on December 1, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Ann was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, and a former member of S.S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and St. Stephens Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, She was retired as a member of the Will County Board; she was previously a commissioner with the Joliet Housing Authority; and she was a volunteer with her church and the Hi-Neighbor Club at Stevenson Tower; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Hanus; five brothers and five sisters; and

WHEREAS, Ann Hanus is survived by a son, Charles (Christina) Hanus; her daughter, Charlene (James) Sweeney; and her four grandchildren, Taylor and Hailey Hanus, and Jennifer and Jimmy Sweeney; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Ann Hanus; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ann Hanus as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
