SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of David John Cote of Beach Park, who passed away on September 27, 2008; and

WHEREAS, He was born on April 3, 1949 in Waukegan, the second son of Orville "Jum" Cote and Jennie Sifler Cote; and

WHEREAS, He graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1967; he worked at his father's business, Cote Electric, and was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 150; and

WHEREAS, He later graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, then worked as an electrical engineer for Abbott Laboratories and Hospira; and

WHEREAS, David John Cote is survived by his wife, Rocio; his daughter, Karla; his mother, Jennie; his brothers, Allan (Sandy) and Steven (Lyn); his nephews and their families, Brian, Michael, Thomas, and Andrew; and his niece, Melinda Cote; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of David John Cote; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David John Cote as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
