SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Stephanie Frances Wheatley (nee Batura) of Beach Park, who recently passed away; and

WHEREAS, She was born August 23, 1928 in North Chicago; she was a Charter member of Our Lady of Humility Church and was a Provena St. Therese Medical Center volunteer; she was a wonderful artist and especially enjoyed her oil painting; she embraced her time spent with family and friends; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, David Wheatley Sr.; her parents, Peter and Katherine Batura; her sisters, Sister Beatine, Jean Dale, Sophia Czajkowski, and Helen Appelt; and her daughter -in-law, Lois Wheatley; and

WHEREAS, Stephanie Wheatley is survived by her son, David H. Wheatley Jr.; her granddaughter, Jennifer Cody; her daughter, Colleen F. Wheatley-Hendrickson; her granddaughter, Dawn (Jose) Hernandez; her great-grandchildren, Nick, Sam, and Anthony Hernandez; her grandson, Daniel (Heather) Hendrickson; her great-grandson, Lucas Hendrickson; her brother, Stephen Batura; and her many loving nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Stephanie Wheatley; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Stephanie Wheatley as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
