SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Patricia Sue Stalcup of South Roxana, who passed away on October 16, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Sue Stalcup was born on November 13, 1954 in Carrollton; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Sue Stalcup worked for the Hayner Public Library District in Alton in the Acquisitions Department for over 37 years; during her 37-year tenure, every book in the library's adult branches and children's library was personally handled by her; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Sue Stalcup was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as her mother, Margaret (Sally) Chapman; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Sue Stalcup is survived by her son, Ryan Stalcup; her daughter and her boyfriend, Courtney Stalcup and Chris Wood; her father, Harvey Chapman; her sister and her husband, Shelly and Michael Thornton; her nieces and nephews and their spouses, Jason and Louise Chapman, Joshua and Molly Chapman and their daughter, Emma, and Justin and Stephanie Chapman; and her younger niece and nephew, Nicholas and Sarah Thornton; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Patricia Sue Stalcup; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Patricia Sue Stalcup as an expression of our sympathy.
